Family Expense Organizer ("we", "us") provides a family expense tracking service at expenseorganizer.com. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and, if you choose to provide it, your phone number.
- Family and expense data — the family group, member, and expense records you and your family members enter into the service, including receipts and related documents you upload.
- Usage information — sign-in activity and technical data (such as IP address and browser type) used to keep the service secure and working.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the service: tracking, reviewing, and organizing your family's expenses.
- To send service communications, such as invitations, sign-in confirmations, and expense activity notifications, according to your notification preferences.
- To send text messages — only if you have opted in and verified your phone number, and only outside the quiet hours you configure.
- To respond to your support requests.
Text Messaging
You can opt in to text messages on your Account > Profile page by checking the text messaging consent box and verifying your phone number with a one-time code. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using the service. You can opt out at any time by unchecking the box, removing your phone number, or replying STOP to any message.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that host and operate the service on our behalf (such as Microsoft Azure for hosting, storage, email, and text message delivery), and only as needed to provide the service. Within the service, your expense information is visible to the members of your family group according to the service's sharing rules.
Data Retention and Security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Data is stored and transmitted using industry-standard encryption.
Your Choices
- Update your name, phone number, time zone, and communication preferences on your Account > Profile page.
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or in your profile settings.
- Contact us to request access to or deletion of your data.
